Online bookkeeper for your BV

We work fully digitally: you send in your documents whenever it suits you, we process the books and keep track of the tax returns and the filing. Digital does not mean anonymous here - you always speak to the same financial specialist.

What you can expect from us

  • One fixed monthly fee, excl. VAT - no additional invoicing afterwards
  • VAT, corporate income tax and filing all monitored
  • One dedicated contact person with board-level experience
  • We arrange the switch with your current firm

Sorted in 3 steps

  1. You request the quote

You tell us what your BV looks like: holding company or not, number of invoices, payslips. Within one business day you have a fixed monthly fee.

  2. We collect the records

Agreed? Then we contact your current firm and arrange the handover. All you do is give your approval, nothing more.

  3. Your bookkeeping simply continues

From that moment on we monitor the tax returns and the filing. You always speak to the same financial specialist and know each month what you pay.

What does an online bookkeeper do for your BV?

If you are considering outsourcing your bookkeeping, our page on outsourcing bookkeeping for BVs explains exactly what that process involves and when it makes sense to take that step. On this page we explain what Nummerix does as an online bookkeeper for your BV, and why the fully digital way of working suits BV owners particularly well.

An online bookkeeper works through secure software and shared environments. You submit invoices, bank statements and other documents digitally, we process everything, prepare the tax returns and file the annual accounts (jaarrekening) with the Chamber of Commerce (KVK). Distance is irrelevant: whether you are based in Amsterdam, Breda, The Hague, Almere or any other city in the Netherlands, the service is identical.

Nummerix works with proven accounting software that gives you insight into your figures at any time. For BVs that want to use Exact Online as their bookkeeping environment, that is easy to arrange: we connect your records to the software and make sure the setup fits your holding structure. The same applies to Yuki and other common platforms. Your preference partly determines the choice; we advise what best suits the complexity of your BV.

Time tracking is less often a core topic for a BV than for freelancers, but for a director-major shareholder (DGA) who invoices projects or manages several operating companies, proper time and hour registration can certainly be relevant. On request we connect an online time tracking tool or online hour registration software to your records, so that invoiced hours flow straight into the bookkeeping. That way your timesheets always match your revenue figures.

Do you run a webshop or online shop through your BV? Then there are specific points to watch: inventory valuation, VAT (btw) on European sales (the OSS return) and processing payment platforms such as Stripe or Mollie. We are familiar with the bookkeeping of BVs with an e-commerce arm and process these flows correctly in the accounts.

For BVs with a holding company and one or more operating companies there is an extra layer of complexity. Intercompany transactions, management fees and the consolidation of figures call for a bookkeeper who knows holding structures from the inside. Read more about how we handle that on the page bookkeeping for holding and operating companies.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between an online bookkeeper and a regular bookkeeper?

The difference is in the way of working, not in the quality. An online bookkeeper works fully digitally: you submit documents through a secure portal, processing and communication run through secure software, and you have insight into your current records at any time. You do not need to visit an office and there is no paperwork. The substance of the service, from the VAT return to the annual accounts and corporate income tax (vennootschapsbelasting, VPB), is identical to that of a traditional firm.

Does Nummerix also work for BVs outside the Randstad, such as in Breda or Almere?

Yes, Nummerix works for BVs throughout the Netherlands. Because the service is fully remote, your location makes no difference. Clients in Breda, The Hague, Almere, Amsterdam or anywhere else receive the same service and the same fixed monthly fee.

What does an online bookkeeper cost for a BV?

The price depends on the size of your administration: the number of entries per month, the complexity of your structure (with or without a holding company, with or without employees) and the services you use. We always work with a fixed monthly fee, excl. VAT, agreed in advance. The page on the costs of a bookkeeper for a BV explains how the pricing is built up. Want a concrete figure? Request a free quote; you will receive a fixed monthly fee within one business day.

Can I switch if I already have a bookkeeper?

Yes. We arrange the switch for you. Once you agree, we contact your current firm, request the records and make sure the handover runs smoothly. You will barely have to spend any time on the transition. Read more about how switching bookkeepers works.

Does Nummerix also work with Exact Online or Yuki?

Yes. For BVs that want to use Exact Online or Yuki as their bookkeeping platform, that is easy to arrange. We connect the records to the software and make sure the setup fits your holding structure and reporting needs. Which package is most suitable depends on the complexity of your BV. We discuss that in the first conversation.

Does Nummerix also set up my BV?

No. Setting up a BV (the Dutch private limited company) requires a notarial deed and goes through the notary. We arrange everything that comes after that: setting up the administration, the first VAT return, the payroll for the DGA and the ongoing bookkeeping. If you still need to arrange the incorporation, we refer you to a notary and take over the bookkeeping as soon as the BV is in place.
