Sorted in 3 steps
You request the quote
You tell us what your BV looks like: holding or not, number of invoices, payslips. Within one working day you have a fixed monthly fee.
We collect the books
Agreed? Then we contact your current firm and arrange the handover. All you do is give your approval, nothing more.
Your bookkeeping continues
From that moment on we monitor the tax returns and the filing. You always speak to the same finance professional and know each month what you pay.
Why a holding with an operating company deserves its own bookkeeper
The bookkeeping of a holding and an operating company is substantially more complex than that of a single BV. As part of our full bookkeeping service for BVs, we also handle holding structures: two (or more) entities, each with its own books, its own filing obligations and its own annual accounts, but with transactions running between those entities that have to be processed correctly.
Entrepreneurs choose a holding with an operating company for good reasons. The structure protects the assets you have built up, gives you tax flexibility when paying out dividends and allows you to move profit up to the holding tax-free (through the participation exemption, deelnemingsvrijstelling). Those advantages only hold up if the bookkeeping is in order. A mistake in an intercompany settlement or annual accounts filed too late costs you money or legal protection straight away.
Nummerix is not a general bookkeeping firm that happens to do holding structures as well. The BV is our entire line of work. You notice that difference the moment you ask a question about the difference between a holding and an operating company, how a cash-box BV (kasgeld-BV) works, or when paying out dividends makes sense from a tax perspective. You get a clear answer right away, not a referral to a colleague.
Do you work from The Hague, Rotterdam or elsewhere in the Netherlands? Our service is fully remote. You submit your documents digitally; we process them and keep you informed. The location of your BV makes no difference at all.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a holding and an operating company?
The holding is the parent company: it owns the shares in the operating company and usually has no operational activities. The operating company is the entity in which you actually do business: this is where the revenue, the costs and the staff sit. Profit paid out from the operating company to the holding is in most cases exempt from corporate income tax (vennootschapsbelasting, VPB) through the participation exemption. Both BVs have their own books, their own filing obligations and their own annual accounts.
What are the advantages of a holding structure?
The two main advantages are asset protection and tax flexibility. Assets held in the holding are out of reach of the operating company's creditors. At the same time, you decide yourself when you take money out of the holding into your private hands; as long as it stays in the holding, you pay no income tax on that amount. Whether a holding structure makes sense in your specific situation depends on your circumstances. Schedule an introductory call if you are still exploring your options.
What does bookkeeping for a holding with an operating company cost?
The price depends on the number of entities in your structure, the volume of the bookkeeping and whether there is staff or more than one operating company. We charge one fixed monthly fee (excl. VAT) for all parts together: bookkeeping, VAT returns, corporate income tax returns, annual accounts and payroll. Request a quote without obligation; within one working day you receive a concrete amount.
Do you also work for holding structures outside The Hague or Rotterdam?
Yes. Our service is fully remote and available to BVs throughout the Netherlands. You submit your documents digitally; we process them and communicate by email, phone or video call. Your location makes no difference at all to the quality or the price.
What is a cash-box BV and do you manage those as well?
A cash-box BV (kasgeld-BV) is a holding (or a separate BV) that mainly holds cash and investments, without active business activities. Because there are few transactions, the bookkeeping is usually limited. Even so, the same obligations apply: filing the annual accounts, submitting the corporate income tax return and complying with the record-retention obligation. We take care of this for you, also if your holding functions purely as a cash-box BV.
How does switching work if I already have a bookkeeper?
We contact your current firm as soon as you accept the quote. We arrange the handover of the complete books of your holding and operating company and keep an eye on interim deadlines. You do not have to hold any conversations or request any documents yourself. The switch costs you as little time as possible.
